Hollywood agent Ari Emanuel is to buy the Frieze art fairs from his entertainment company, Endeavor, in a deal worth close to $200 million. The purchase will be the first deal for Emanuel’s newly formed global events company backed by investors such as Apollo Global Management and RedBird Capital Partners. Frieze, known for its art fairs and publications that are at the forefront of contemporary art, will remain under its existing leadership, maintaining continuity as it shifts to new ownership. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025.
